Leaderboard, explained simply
A leaderboard puts AI models in order, from the top score down. It works like a sports table.
Some leaderboards use fixed tests. Others use votes from real people comparing answers side by side.
This matters because it gives you a quick way to pick a model. But the top spot on one list may not be best for your task.
For example, a model may lead in coding but rank lower in writing. Check which test the list is based on.
On ITG Now, the AI models page pulls scores from public leaderboards and links to each source.

Questions people ask about Leaderboard
Is the top model on a leaderboard the best for me?
Not always. It is best on that test. Your own task may need something different.
Who runs AI leaderboards?
Research groups, universities and companies run them. Always check who made the list and how it scores.
Can leaderboard scores be gamed?
Yes, in some cases. Models can be tuned for a known test, so use several sources.
