Every news story on this site carries the byline "By the ITG Now newsroom". This page says who we are, how we pick and check stories, and how to reach us.
Who we are
ITG Now is a small team that explains AI and tech news in plain English, for people who don't write code. We publish under one shared name, the ITG Now newsroom, rather than personal bylines. ITG Now is published by It's Trending Global; see who runs ITG Now.
How we pick stories
- Our news feed checks about 45 news sources around the clock: AI companies' own blogs, tech newsrooms, security sites and news searches for AI deals, laws and new models.
- Every morning we also research the day's biggest AI stories, the fastest-rising GitHub repos and new AI research.
- We pick stories that touch jobs, money, safety or apps people use, and explain what happened and why it matters to you.
How we check stories
- A story goes on the site only when the company's own post confirms it, or a widely followed trusted outlet (such as Reuters, Bloomberg, AP, The Verge or TechCrunch) reports it.
- Smaller or less known sources are not enough on their own: we need two of them that reported it themselves.
- Leaks are labeled LEAK, name who spotted them and are never stated as fact. A story seen only on social media is labeled "Trending on" that platform.
- Every story links its sources, and we never invent numbers or quotes.
More detail: how we check facts. When we get something wrong, we fix the story, say what changed, and list it on our corrections page.
How we use AI
AI tools help us find stories, draft the text and make the pictures and videos. Every story is checked against its sources before it goes on the site, and a longer write-up replaces the short version only after a separate fact-check passes.
