AI coding agent, explained simply
An AI coding agent is an AI that works on software for you. You describe what you want, and it edits files and runs tests.
It matters because you don't have to be an expert to build things. It also saves time for people who do code.
For example, you could say, "Add a dark mode button to my site." The agent finds the files and makes the change. Then it checks that it works.
It can still make mistakes. Read what it changed, and keep a backup of your work.
On ITG Now, our daily AI news covers new coding agents, and our free tool guides show how to install and try them.
