WSL, explained simply
WSL stands for Windows Subsystem for Linux. It is made by Microsoft.
It gives Windows users a Linux terminal without a second computer or a restart.
That helps because many developer tools are written for Linux or Mac.
For example, a guide for Mac or Linux can often be followed on Windows through WSL.
On ITG Now, our free tool guides mention WSL when a tool is easier to run on Windows through Linux.
