AGPL, explained simply
AGPL stands for GNU Affero General Public License. It builds on the GPL.
The GPL rules apply when you hand someone a copy. The AGPL adds that rules also apply if people use your changed version through a website.
So a company that runs a modified AGPL tool online generally has to share its changes.
This is general information, not legal advice.
On ITG Now, our tool guides note the license of each tool, and call out AGPL because it matters for anyone who hosts a tool online.
